Step Into The Light at the 2026 Capitec Franschhoek Cap Classique & Champagne Festival, presented by Capitec and Franschhoek Wine Valley. Taking place on 5 and 6 December 2026, this iconic summer celebration brings together South Africa's finest Cap Classique, imported Champagnes, exceptional food, live entertainment and unforgettable festival style in the heart of the Cape Winelands.
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Franschhoek Valley, guests are invited to celebrate the start of summer with elegance, discovery and sparkling moments.
At the heart of the festival is a showcase of South Africa's leading Cap Classique producers, complemented by a select offering of imported Champagnes. Guests can explore an exciting range of bubblies, discover new favourites and celebrate the craftsmanship behind every bottle. This year the festival also offers range of non-alcoholic alternatives to ensure everyone can be part of the celebration.
Each festival ticket includes a commemorative branded wine flute and ten tasting tokens, offering perfect tastings of celebrated Cap Classique. Guests can then continue their tasting journey with Cap Classique available by the glass or bottle, alongside imported Champagnes and a selection of alcohol-free and de-alcoholised sparkling alternatives available for purchase throughout the event.
Beyond the bubbles, a carefully curated selection of gourmet food vendors will serve cuisine designed to complement the wines.
The celebration will come alive with performances by Coda SA, Amy Jones and ShenFM, alongside vibrant DJ sets featuring a seamless blend of Deep House, Amapiano and Afro-electronic sounds, creating the perfect soundtrack to a sun-filled weekend of celebration.
For those seeking a more elevated experience, the exclusive Crystal Lounge offers a luxurious retreat inspired by the brilliance of light and reflection. The event is restricted to adults only and no children under 18 are allowed.
Tickets are valid for the event date it was purchased. Tickets are not transferable at the ticket office or at the gates to the event.
Tickets purchased for Sunday will not get access to the Saturday event.
Dogs and/or pets are not permitted on the events grounds with the exception for registered guide or service dogs. Registration documents may be requested.
Event times: Saturday and Sunday, 11h00-17h00 (The venue will close at 18h00).
